Italian Art
Limited Edition Reproductions

The Italian Art commissions were enjoyable, and sent my art in a new and refreshing direction. The original works are very large and carry a certain degree of visual impact due to their size. It was very important to me to be able to accurately reproduce not only the vivid color of these works, but their impact in scale as well.

"Café at Dawn"
Original in Oils - 48" x 72"

"Italy in Blue"
Original in Oil - 48" x 60"

"Antique Italy"
Original in Oil - 48" x 60"

Lord of the Rings
Limited Edition Reproductions

The Lord of the Rings Collection stems from my admiration of, like so many of us, the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien. By in large, these images were created prior to the production of the movie trilogy, and were created for my own enjoyment, rather than for printing purposes. I find it interesting to compare and contrast conceptualizations in my art with those images captured in the movie trilogy, as the films hadn’t yet been created to influence my work.

"The Gates of Barad-Dûr"
Original in Colored Pencil - 12" x 16"

"The Havens of Mithlond"
Original in Colored Pencil - 12" x 16"

"The Goblin King"
Original in Colored Pencil - 12" x 16"

"Minas Tirith"
Original in Colored Pencil - 12" x 16"

Portraits
Limited Edition Reproductions

These are a collection of images that represent the famous, semi-famous and even fictional. The images of Marylin and James might seem the most rudimentary of the collection but were technically difficult to pull off. The images are large and splashed with paint, giving both portraits a powerful impact. These are my wife’s second favorites (next to the "Café at Dawn" painting). The Steve Vai and Robert Plant Illustrations show a great deal more value than the previous two paintings. I chose these figures for their well-defined characteristics in bone structure, allowing for strong contrast in the value. The general comment people have regarding Steve Vai, is that, "...his eyes follow you around the room, no matter where you're standing".

"James Dean"
Original in Oils - 48" x 62"

"Steve Vai"
Original in Oils and Colored Pencil - 15" x 19"

"Marylin Monroe"
Original in Oils - 48" x 56"

"Tribal Marks"
Original in Ink - 12" x 15"

"Robert Plant"
Original in Colored Pencil - 15" x 19"

Fantasy
Limited Edition Reproductions

These works are a collection of imaginary images on which I've really enjoyed working. They are a mixture of oils, watercolor, colored pencil, and computer generated illustration. These, however, were smaller images that I’d worked on over time, for my own enjoyment, and had little intention of printing. After becoming more aware of the printing processes used, I began to realize that these images could be printed larger than the original and remain comprehensive and unbroken; and therefore am able to offer these in larger reproduction sizes. At the request of friends and family, I decided to make these available, with more to come.

"Bolöethid"
Original in Watercolor and Colored Pencil - 12" x 16"

"The Temple of Ostrus"
Original in Colored Pencil - 18" x 24"

"Cahedrahn"
Original in Oils - 12" x 14"

"The White Tower"
Original Computer Generated

"Krusk Kor"
Original in Oils - 27" x 36"

MechWarrior
Limited Edition Reproductions

The Mech Art series is interesting, in as much as the images were completely computer generated and meant only to amuse a friend who is a fan of the video game. The first time I saw the MechWarrior game a decade ago now, my best friend showed up at my dorm, from out of town. He carried with him a copy of the game and a large guitar amplifier. Hmmm, I wondered? Before long the game was installed and my small, computer speakers were replaced by the large, guitar amplifier. The noise that shook the dorm that night could not easily be described. Not long after, most of the guys on my wing were in my room watching and listening to the spectacle, as the room shook around us and the screen flashed with all sorts of blasts and explosions. Years later, I created these images and sent them to this friend. There-again, at the behest of friends and family, I was urged to add these to my catalog.
